SPAR Advisory Council
SPAR Advisory Council members are appointed by their respective City Council members and serve in an advisory capacity to meet the needs of their respective community districts.

Advisory Council Duties
|
|
~ To attend the meetings of the Public Assembly and Recreation Council as regularly set or as called by the Chairman of the Council or three members of the Council.
~ To bring to the attention of the Director matters which require administrative attention.
~ To bring to the attention the Public Assembly and Recreation Council matters requiring policy decision which will increase the effectiveness of the department.
~ To make periodic visits to recreation areas, facilities, program activities, and to otherwise keep informed of the progress and development of the organization.
~ To become familiar with the characteristics of a well-balanced community recreation program.

~ To participate whenever possible in the program of the department as a representative of the Public Assembly and Recreation Council or as program participant.
~ To conduct the affairs of the Public Assembly and Recreation Council in such a manner as to win the confidence and respect of the public and the membership of the Council and the integrity of the work of the Council in the community.
~ To serve as an ambassador of good will for the Public Assembly and Recreation Council making it clear at all times that suggestions and criticisms are always welcome. Also, to serve as members of both standing and special committees.
