"Celebrate Your Seniority and Have Fun Doing It". Within the Shreveport area Seniors are active and vibrant members of the community. That's why SPAR offers a myriad of Programs and Special Events for the enjoyment of our seniors. Our daily programs offer all seniors the opportunity to lead active and fun-filled lifestules.
Seniors participate in Arts & Crafts, Computer Classes, Aerobics, Chair Aerobics, Bowling, Wii Games, Ceramics, Quilting, Puzzling, Sewing, Field Trips, Dominoes, Cards, Dancing and just about any activity you are interested in, SPAR has a staff of 16 that works exclusively in our Senior Program and are dedicated to providing programs and events that improve your quality of life. Arts and Crafts
A variety of crafts are taught and shared including sewing, quilting, and ceramics as well as specialty projects for the holidays and gift-giving.

The Senior Program partners with various agencies to bring informative speakers to the community centers.
Community Choirs
SPAR's Senior Program has established Senior Community Choirs at A. B. Palmer Community Center (Directed by Mr. Steven Dinkins), Hattie Perry Community Center (Drected by Ms. Jackie Solomon) and the original Senior Community Choir that began in 2004 at Airport Park Community Center (Directed by Mrs. Brenda Richardson). Computers Level 1
The objective of this course is to assure that the student can use and understand a computer. The subject matter of the course includes essential computer terminology, the strengths and limitations of computers, basic skills in the use of Windows, the World Wide Web, and use of electronic mail.
Computers Level 2
The objective of this course is to advance your understanding and use of the computer for useful real life tasks. The subject matter of the course includes skills in the use of Windows, use of popular application software, and basic introduction to creating a website.
