SPAR Summer Camp
SPAR Summer Playground is at 14 of SPAR's 15 community centers, and runs from June 3-August 9, 2013, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm. Registration for the camps begins on March 25 on a first come, first served basis. The camps are free. Each center has a waiting list for possible openings as a result of drops outs. Over 900 children annually participate in this program and it includes trips to Earth Camp, LSU-Ag Center sites, museums, Tinseltown, Law and Youth Academy, spray grounds, swimming pools, and other special trips the Center Staffs arrange. In addition there are parties, guest speakers, and special instruction in Musical Theater, physical fitness, art, golf, tennis, and dance. The programming varies with age group and site, but everbody has a good time and the kids are thoroughly worn out by the time each day is over. Contact preferred center to be placed on waiting list. There is no guarantee space will become available. All year long SPAR offers safe, supervised fun and educational activities for our SPAR Youth.
